Char Dham Yatra – 11N / 12D
Delhi-Haridwar-Yamunotri-Uttarkashi-Gangotri-Tehri dam- -Guptkashi-Gaurikund-Kedarnath- Badrinath-Rishikesh-Delhi
Char Dham are the names of four pilgrimage places in India that are widely revered by most of the “Hindus”.
Day 1:
Arrive at Delhi & leave for Haridwar (210 km 6 hrs). On arrival in Haridwar check in at hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities. In the evening go for Har Ki Pouri for Aarti darshan, after Aarti Darshan back to hotel. Stay at Haridwar.
Day 2:
After breakfast leave for Barkot via Mussoorie (205 km 6 hrs). On arrival check in Hotel. Stay at Barkot.
Day 3:
Early morning at 4:00 am drive to Jankichatti (42 km), start 5 km trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri either by walk, doli OR by horse(at extra cost). On arrival at Yamunotri, take bath in hot Jamunabai Kund then go for Temple darshan, after having Temple darshan you can also cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice back to home as “Prasad”. After this back down to Jankichatti and then proceed to Barkot. Stay at Barkot.
Day 4:
After breakfast leave for Uttarkashi (95 km 4 hrs). On the way visit to Praketswar Mahadev. On arrival check-in at hotel. In evening visit to the famous temple of Kashi-Viswnath. Stay at Uttarkashi.
Day 5:
Early morning at 5:00 am leave for Gangotri (100 km 4 hrs). At Gangotri take a holy dip in the river Ganga, It’s also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Then go for Temple darshan, after temple darshan come back to Uttarkashi. Stay at Uttarkashi.
Day 6:
Early morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and then drive to Guptkashi via Tehri Dam (223 km 9 hrs). On arrival at Guptakashi check-in the hotel, in evening we will visit the famous temple of Kashi–Vishwnath at Guptkashi. After temple darshan back to hotel. Stay at Guptakashi.
Day 7:
Early morning at 5:00 am check out from the hotel and drive to Gourikund (35 km 1.5 hrs). From here, we will start 14 km trek to Kedarnath. Either by walk, doli OR by horse (at extra cost). On arrival at Kedarnath check in at hotel. In the evening visit Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the temple and take a part in evening Aarti. Night stay at Kedarnath.
Day 8:
Early morning at 4:00 am go for Kedarnath temple darshan, after darshan back to Hotel. After breakfast back to Gaurikund. Later drive to Guptkashi. On arrival check in the Hotel. Stay at Guptakashi.
Day 9:
Morning at 7:00 am leave for Badrinath via Chopta (190 km 8 hrs). On arrival check-in at hotel. After a short break go for interesting sightseeing of Mana Village (the last village before the Tibetan border). Visit Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Charanpaduka, Bhim pul and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati river. Stay at Badrinath.
Day 10:
Early morning at 4:00 am take bath in Taptkund it’s also called Suryakund. Then go for Badrinath temple darshan, after having temple darshan back to Hotel. After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Srinagar (191 km 8 hrs). On arrival at Srinagar check in Hotel. Stay at Srinagar.
Day 11:
After breakfast leave for Rishikesh (100 km 4 hrs). On arrival check-in Hotel at Rishikesh, take some rest and then go for sightseeing of Rishikesh city. Visit Laxman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Raghunath temple and Geeta Bhavan. In evening take part in aarti performed at Triveni Ghat. After aarti darshan back to hotel. Stay at Rishikesh.
Day 12:
After breakfast leave for Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, transfer to airport/railway station to catch the flight/train and leave for your home town
